In this report I will tell you about a city called Chihuahua located in Mexico. I will share with you the history, geography, activities, sites to see and the economics. A fun fact about Chihuahua is that the Concho Indians lived in Chihuahua. Next I will tell you about Chihuahua.
First, here is a little about the history of Chihuahua. The name Chihuahua is said to have come from the language Tarahumara meaning “between two waters,” “place of the holed-rock” or “dry and sandy place.” Did you know that in 1990 there was a forest fire in Chihuahua due to conditions such as drought, dry air, and high winds? The Aztecs lived in parts of Chihuahua Mexico. There have been over two hundred tribes over centuries. Most likely the most different are the Raramuri. They have strong cultural identity that they have kept even though many other cultures have come and gone theirs is the one that has stayed. Still their culture is there. Another tribe that lived there were the Apaches. The apaches were warriors and often would make war with the Spaniards.
Now I will tell you some facts about the economics of Chihuahua. Did you know that about 20% of the workers are employed in agriculture or farming, 44% of Chihuahuas workers are employed in commerce and services, a little bit over a third of them work in mines and industry. Another cool fact is that Chihuahua has the largest forest land in Mexico. It is also the leading producer in nuts and apples. It is also second in pine and oak trees all over the nation. It is also leading in sheep and cattle raising. It is leading in non-ferrous minerals and zinc. It is also second nationwide in extracting silver. It is located 1,455 km from Mexico City.
Last, I will tell you some things about the sites and activities in Chihuahua. One thing that you could do in Chihuahua is you can go to the Museo Grafico de la Revolucion Mexicana. The Museo Grafico de la Revolucion Mexicana is a historical home and museum, I also found a review on it and it said “that it was a Great museum.” Another thing that you can do is go and see the Cascada de Basaseachi. The Cascada de Basaseachi is a waterfall in Chihuahua. Some other things that you can do is go to Hidalgo’s Dungeon. The Hidalgo’s Dungeon is an old jail in Chihuahua. But if you are just going for the weather then these are some hotels that you can stay at. The name is Hotel Paraiso del Oso and these are some of the ratings “had fun there” “quite a place.” Those are some of the places to stay and go in Chihuahua.
That is all I have to say about the mystical and beautiful place called Chihuahua. I hoped that you enjoyed my small report on Chihuahua, Mexico. I wish that I could go there some day and you might even be able to go there some day if you are lucky.
